Vineyard Montessori School is a great place to have summer fun! Children will have engaging and unique experiences exploring the outdoors, discovering new interests, meeting new friends, and creating memories….all on our beautiful Island!

Mission

Vineyard Montessori Summer Session inspires a lifelong love of learning through friendship, community, skill-building, and exploration. VMS offers a vibrant, nurturing environment where children develop independence, cooperation, and curiosity through enriching, hands-on activities—most of which take place outdoors. VMS licensed programs are designed to provide a safe, caring space for every child to thrive. What a wonderful way to spend your summer!

Registration

November 1st: Priority registration begins for current VMS students and returning summer families
December 1st: General registration begins (priority for those enrolling in full sessions)
As space allows: À la carte registration for families enrolling for less than a full session

2027 REGISTRATION FORM

Submission of this registration form constitutes a request to enroll for the weeks selected. Enrollment is subject to availability and approval by Vineyard Montessori School. Once registration is approved, a confirmation email is issued and payment is due in full at that time. The selected weeks are considered reserved, and the family is financially responsible for the full tuition, whether or not the child attends. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. No refunds, credits, fee reductions, make-up days, substitutions, or transfers will be provided for any reason.

Programs & Ages

The VMS Summer Program serves children 8 weeks – 9 years old. Program placement is based on your child’s age as of June 28, 2027.

INFANT: Ages 8 weeks – 15 months old
TODDLER: Ages 15 months – 2.9 years old
PRE-K: Ages 2.9 to 5 years old
ELEMENTARY: Ages 6-9 years old

VMS Summer operates for 9 weeks, June 28 through August 27, 2027. The program is closed on Monday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day.

INFANT: Ages 8 weeks – 15 months old (One 9 week session)
Flexible schedule/choose your hours, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Flat rate of $7,865

TODDLER: Ages 15 months – 2.9 years old (One 9 week session)
Half Day (8:15 am – 12:00 pm): $5,865
Full Day (8:15 am – 2:15 pm): $7,865
Optional Extended AM (7:30 am – 8:15 am): $1,315
Optional Extended PM (2:15 pm – 4:00 pm): $2,295

Sample Daily Schedules

INFANTS
Program opens at 7:30 am with flexible drop off times.
An individualized daily rhythm in an infant classroom follows each child’s unique needs and natural patterns for sleeping, feeding, diapering, work-period, outside play, and interaction rather than a fixed group schedule. This responsive approach supports healthy development, builds trust and security, and honors each infant’s pace while creating a calm and nurturing environment.
Program closes at 4:00 pm with flexible pick up times.

8:15-9:30 am: Free play (indoor or outdoor)
9:30 am: Morning snack
9:30 -11:30 am: Free play (indoor or outdoor)

*Rest or Sleep Periods for Children Ages 5 and Under: State regulations stipulate that children ages 5 and under who are attending the program for more than four hours shall have a mid-session rest and/or quiet activity, appropriate to the needs of the individual child. Families of children who rest are encouraged to send a clearly labeled blanket, pillow, and/or small stuffed animal for rest time.

Additional Information

VMS summer programs comply with all state and local regulations and licensing. Safety is a priority at VMS. Our staff participate in extensive training and preparation for their work with children. Low staff to child ratios ensure quality supervision at all times. Toilet training is not a requirement.

Ages 8 weeks - 2.9 Years

The Infant and Toddler Programs run year-round, which includes a Summer Session. Placements are typically filled by our year-round families, but, on occasion, there are summer-only openings. Hands-on summer programming includes activities such as gardening, water play, music & movement, art, and nature exploration.

Ages 2.9-9

The Primary and Elementary Programs run year-round, which includes a Summer Session. Hands-on summer programming includes activities such as gardening, water play, field games, music & movement, STEM, art, and nature exploration.
